Update

It's been a long and tiresome, yet rewarding process following the Slender Wonder program! I have found myself staring at food that I want to eat and quite literally convincing myself that I shouldn't, and why. I have a feeling my family thinks I am crazy!

We are now in the last 4 weeks of the challenge, this is a crazy and scary thought! I have 4 more weeks until I can start eating normally and giving my body the carbs that it has been craving! I will however not go back to how things used to be! I am loving the changes in my body and the compliments that come with it. I have not had this much male attention in about 8 years! This is obviously giving me a bit of an ego boost, but seeing how low my ego was, I am thinking this is not such a bad thing :)

I hope you all are following my other blog and enjoying it... Please do click on the like button if you are reading it, if not you have a lot of catching up to do!

Slender Challenge

I know I have neglected this blog, but as I mentioned 6 weeks ago, I am part of the Slender Challenge. Let's just say it's been a incredible journey so far! Tough does not even cover it and sometimes I was so willing to just give up!

But I haven't and I feel so much better for it! I am now 10kg's lighter which is massive and I wouldn't take that back for the world.

There are still 6 weeks left! I hope you all will follow my trials and tribulations on my other blog!

Challenge

Since my last post, I have been to see the doctor, who took out my stitches, he seemed really impressed with my healing, the physio has been hard and I still have very little if any movement in my finger, which is difficult for me to accept! I am not the most patient person in the world...

A week ago I found out I was accepted as one of the contestants for the Slender Challenge, hosted by Body Skin Renewal and Slender Wonder - more info So now I have to blog there as part of the challenge.

I implore you to follow my blog there if you want to know what is going on!

See you in 12 weeks time, hopefully a much much skinnier version of me!

Recovery

For the last 8 months my life has been over taken, and I mean that in a good way, by gym. I would organise my life around my gym, and I was happy with that. I was one of those girls that when people always say  "maybe you go to gym too much, aren't you overdoing it?" they are talking about me.

Now I find myself sitting at home with absolutely nothing to do and all I want to do is put on my jelly tot shoes and go for a jog or go to the gym and pick up a kettle bell and just do something!

They say that when one is injured the recovery period is always the hardest, well they are right... you think its going to be so cool to sit around at home for 3/4 weeks and do nothing! think of all the catching up of movies etc you can do... well you would be wrong... it is damn boring and there is only so much TV one can handle. When you can not drive or go anywhere, your freedom is totally taken away from you and your options are so limited.

For someone like me who has an active job, standing and moving all the time, and lately an active lifestyle, the last two weeks have been absolute torture.

Until last night I haven't seen any of my friends, except one (Or has been my savior throughout this whole polava) and I think that is where my biggest frustration came in, I missed the vibe and the antics that go on in the gym and being around the people who have influenced me in such a good way.

Hopefully tomorrows doctors appointment will shed some good light on the situation and will allow me to at least start doing something!

As expected

So as expected my blogging is taking second place in my life. I am going to try to keep up with it now but its not going to be easy.

A week and a bit ago I had an accident in the gym and a kettle bell landed up on my finger and I broke it, well that is an understatement... I totally and utterly shattered it.

I was in a rotation press see this video to understand (Thanks Sean M from 360 Specialised Training for the video - blog here) While the kettle bell was in the air, 16 kgs of pure iron, fell out of my left hand and straight on to my arm followed by my right hand.

I can honestly say that I don't remember the pain I was in total and utter shock. We headed straight to the Medi-clinic, where after some x-rays we were told how bad the damage was.

So I am now after 2 surgeries, much pain and a lot of boredom I am stuck at home with nothing to do. My weight loss is the biggest problem for me at the moment, I am not allowed to exercise or anything and I am living with my parents again so what I eat is at their mercy as I can not do anything for myself and no matter how much I ask for healthy low fat food, the more I realise their version of that is so not the same as mine!

Hopefully on Friday when I see the doctor he will give me some good news as to my exercise.
